Mark your calender

Mark your calendar! The “Tour de Lavender” will take place on August 3 – 4, 2013.

Come ride from Seattle and tour the beautiful Sequim-Dungeness Valley, home of the Sequim lavender farms, during the peak of the lavender season. Enjoy the fields’ intoxicating smells and the beautiful vistas of rolling farmland, purple flowers, snow-capped mountains and blue seas.

An exciting cycling adventure to “America’s Provence” is in the works and will be known as “Tour de Dungeness”. ”Ride the Hurricane” is that same weekend and can be a great add-on as the ride up Hurricane Ridge Road (Olympic National Park, Port Angeles) is considered one of the premier cycling uphill rides in the country and offers spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains. Initial talks have been conducted with the director in an effort to connect with this event.

The Olympic Discovery Trail, a Rails-to-Trails Conservatory project, will also be a vital part of the route.
