Per a commitment to donate $4 for every cyclist who rode in the Metric Century, a check for $368 was presented by Dan Abbott of the Sequim Lavender Farmers Association (with volunteers from the Tour de Lavender) to the Peninsula Trails Coalition for the benefit of the Olympic Discovery Trail. Tom Coonelly and John Dolansky also represented the Sequim Spoke Folk Bicycle Club.
The inaugural ride was considered a huge success! More than 180 riders enjoyed the roads and sights around the Dungeness Peninsula. Many indicated that they would be back for next year’s ride and had discovered an incredible new place to ride.
